Scarecrow

Grammie and Papa came up with the great idea to make a scarecrow with the boys.  Isaac models the general idea before work begins.

Hi Hon.  I love you.  Smooch.

Uh-oh.  Loosing interest.

Now down to the nitty gritty.

Uh-oh. Luke got a splinter.

Uh-oh.  Luke needs a snack from the orchard.

Uh-oh.  Noah needs a miniature snack from the orchard.

Uh-oh.  Diversion from Dad.

OK, now back to work.

Uh-oh.  Diversion from Dad.

Do I even need to explain this...

No crows comin' into this garden!

Nigh-Night Brother

I'm so glad we bought our boys comfortable mattresses because they've taken to sleeping on the floor.  But if they do it like this, I guess I'm ok with it.  And no comments about the pacifiers.

"Courage, brother, do not stumble, though thy path be dark as night.  There is a star to guide the humble, trust in God, and do the right.  Let the road be dark and dreary and its end far out of sight.  Face it bravely, strong or weary.  Trust God, and do." ~ Norman Schwarzkopf

Boo!

Isaac's preschool class invited the parents and siblings in for their Halloween party.  Luke, obviously, a very convincing Elmo (thank you Kendra!).  Isaac, naturally, is Mike Rowe, host of Dirty Jobs.  If you don't know who Mike Rowe is, you'll think we forgot to dress him up.  If you know who he is, sweet costume, right?

Self face painted.

So, SO cute to see the kids on stage.  They sang a couple songs.

Naturalists

Grandpa Alan and Grandma Alby took us on a nature hike a couple weeks ago.  Grandpa asked Luke if he wanted to be a naturalist when he grew up.  That's one of the things I love most about Alan and Alby, they come from a wonderful perspective of loving the earth and the living things in it.

"Alright boys, imagine this..."
Totally Chris, right?

Kingpin

We took the boys bowling for Isaac's birthday.
They love, love, love to bowl.

A side note, have I mentioned Isaac is obsessed with volcanoes?  Check out one of his red hot volcano T-shirts.  Yes, "one of."  You should see him imitate a lava explosion!

Must have been a good one.  Luke is airborne!
