Our dear Luke has turned 4! God bless you, Luke. May He grant you many, many years!
It just so happened that our favorite songwriter for children, Justin Roberts and the Not Ready for Naptime Players, was having a concert in LA on Luke's birthday.
So there's Isaac in the red with his arms raised, singing every word. Where's Luke, you ask?
He's back here with us...where it's safe. Isaac would have spent the concert on stage if he would have been invited. But it took Luke three songs before he thought it ok to get out of my lap and dance right in front of me. So curious how kids are so different. Each of them lovely.

Rider Luke
Luke dressed himself up in all my riding gear. Besides feeling all warm and fuzzy about my boy, why do I just see dollars flying out of my wallet when I look at this picture?
County Fair
I love the county fair. I feel it is my duty as a mother to teach my boys to love the county fair too. Taking them six times in three weeks should do it, right? C'mon, they get in free, I bought the pass to get in 24 days for $24, and I'm a homeschool Mom. What do you expect?
We started off, Opening Day of course, with the dog show.
Then straight to the Swifty Swine Racing Pigs. Isaac was chosen to cheer on our section of the bleachers. That's him down there in the red t-shirt.
The theme at the fair this year was Out of This World, hence all the spacey stuff to follow. My boys love space! A close second to Legos.
Until next time...

I Love This Man
We have been working on our yard. The backyard of our beloved rental was lumpy and weedy, so we decided to flatten in out and get some grass growing. In the midst of this project, I was reminded of one of the many reasons why I love and admire my husband. He works hard. And he has a quirky way of still being handsome when he's covered in a layer of hard-earned dirt.
