Yes.  That is a picture of sod.  And for those of you that heard over and over for months "just wait until we put grass in the backyard"...it has arrived!  Come and play!

Fútbol

Isaac played on his first soccer team through an after-school program at his school this year.  He's quite a natural!  I see Soccer Mom in my future.

Chris was so kind as to take some pictures of me riding recently.  So so grateful to have this time with the animals I love.

Siete Azul

Isaac is 6!  Yes, this is a jet cake, complete with candles lit out the back for the jet engines.  (Chris is a cake genius!)  We spent his birthday at the Marine Corps Air Station's annual air show watching the Blue Angels, so we thought the cake was fitting.  Happy Birthday, son.  May God grant you many, many years!

Roughing It

Rough.  I know.  In October we went camping on the beach.  It was the first time we all went camping together (read: Mom came because Dad begged).  I'm not the best roughing it type of person, even in a campsite with a gazillion dollar view, but I must say it was time well spent.  Good times had by all.

Country Orchard

This fall we made a trip up to Julian to pick apples.  I found a small, family-owned orchard that turned out to be simply stunning.  A sweet taste of the country life.  So grateful for the family time.
