A Week Away

For the past two summers, Isaac has spent a week up in the Los Padres National Forest at Camp St. Nicholas. He LOVES it! The camaraderie, the games, the hikes, the food, and a week away from his family being independent.

This is what he looked like when we picked him up...dirty! Can you see the dirt and his chapped lips?!

Until next year!

A Fair to Remember

I wish I could tell you that these were the pictures from this summer's fair, but alas, they are from 2015. I'm not sure I even took any pictures during this year's fair, so let's go ahead and pretend these pictures cover both, shall we?

This is Luke a few days before the fair began, delivering his pastel art entry.

Isaac with his rock collection entry

As we do every year, we frequented the Turkey Stampede.

Isaac exuberantly participated in the pie-eating contest.

An array of breeders and rescue groups bring their dogs in for people to learn about and enjoy. Isaac took a liking to this pair.

The boys always enjoy meeting the public service officers...and playing with their gear.

One of my favorite parts of the fair was the mounted shooting demonstration.

The whole crew! Luke and Isaac with their pals, Pablo and Diego. Until next time!

Long Time No See

It's been a while. The boys have grown like weeds, of course. Let's get you up to speed.

Who is that awesome dude?! Yes, their super fun cousin, Noah!

And equally as super fun, Aunt Carrie and Uncle Chris!

OK, yes! And totally super fun, Grammie and Papa!

It's so nice to be with you again. I'll try not to be a stranger.

Fairly Fun

The post you've been waiting for!!  County Fair, Summer 2014 edition!!  OK, maybe it's just me who's excited.  No, that can't be true.  Who doesn't get excited about the fair?!  No one!

We entered the Scarecrow division...and won first place!

Isaac was a beast in the pie eating contest!

The boys hate it when I drag them to the flower show.  You think?

Double-decker bus, Baby!
