Gingerbread Boy

My boys LOVE their cousin Lindsay!

"As soon as the oven door was opened, the little gingerbread boy jumped out, and began to run away as fast as he could go."

"Presently the gingerbread boy said, "Oh dear! I'm quarter gone!" And then, "Oh, I'm half gone!" And soon, "I'm three-quarters gone!" And at last, "I'm all gone!" and never spoke again."

Boy + Tractor

Grandpa is in the process of building a straw bale house, and on this rainy, sloppy, muddy day he took the boys to the job site for a ride on the tractor.  Doesn't get better than that for a 2 and 4-year-old!

Scarecrow

Grammie and Papa came up with the great idea to make a scarecrow with the boys.  Isaac models the general idea before work begins.

Hi Hon.  I love you.  Smooch.

Uh-oh.  Loosing interest.

Now down to the nitty gritty.

Uh-oh. Luke got a splinter.

Uh-oh.  Luke needs a snack from the orchard.

Uh-oh.  Noah needs a miniature snack from the orchard.

Uh-oh.  Diversion from Dad.

OK, now back to work.

Uh-oh.  Diversion from Dad.

Do I even need to explain this...

No crows comin' into this garden!

Nigh-Night Brother

I'm so glad we bought our boys comfortable mattresses because they've taken to sleeping on the floor.  But if they do it like this, I guess I'm ok with it.  And no comments about the pacifiers.

"Courage, brother, do not stumble, though thy path be dark as night.  There is a star to guide the humble, trust in God, and do the right.  Let the road be dark and dreary and its end far out of sight.  Face it bravely, strong or weary.  Trust God, and do." ~ Norman Schwarzkopf
